Grandbaby's first birthday card
I can not believe she is already one year young!
Yes, it's true...my little puddin' is turning one tomorrow and I simply can not believe how the time has gone by so quickly! The little helpless baby I held against my chest just yesterday (so it seems) is now starting to walk, talk and show off with her own personality...and believe me, it's a BIG one! haha She so has us wrapped around her little finger, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
For Delilah's card I decided to use the multi-colored tutu that my daughter has made for her to wear during her party for inspiration...it's very festive and cheerful and gave me lots to play with. I hope you like it.
And now you're one!
For this card I used the following cartridge and measurements. Teddy Bear Parade-little party bear/cupcakes, cut at 6", then I decided to cut the balloons at 5 1/2" so they wouldn't appear to big. I wanted the teddy bear to be the main focus.
Now for the added touches...For decorating the cupcakes, I used pink sugar glitter for the icing and Martha Stewarts' crystal glitter on the flame. I also removed the candles from two of the cupcakes and used a patterned paper for the wrappers.
The small banner in the background was made by hand cutting 1" triangles and printing the words on with Bic marker. I then colored the three balloons with Copic markers V12, V15, G14, G24, R30 and R32.
For the bear, I dressed her in an outfit to match the birthday girls...I used Bic markers to write BIRTHDAY GIRL and multi-color tissue paper for the tutu. I inked her using brownstone and coffee bean, applied Glossy Accents to her nose and muzzle, added two fun google eyes and a pretty pink bow to finish her off. Once the bear was completed I then sprayed her with Krylon crystal clear spray to preserve the image.
Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look. Kathie
