Pooh and his friends

Autumn leaves are starting to fall

I so love this time of the year and decided to use early Autumn as a setting for this clock I made for my daughters mother-in-law.

My daughters mother-in-law lives in Florida and is possibly the biggest Disney fan we know...she has a year round pass to the park and makes good use of it...hahaha!

Her favorite character is Tigger and her husband loves Eeyor, so what was I to do?  I know, MAKE A CLOCK WITH POOH AND HIS FRIENDS ENJOYING THE FALLING LEAVES AND CRISP AUTUMN AIR BESIDE A LAZY STREAM!

                                                   Pooh and Friends 20" clock

Tigger atop bridge

Pooh and Piglet

Only me, Eeeyor

For this project I used the following cartridges and measurements.  Pooh and Friends-bridge (pg59), cut at 6", Pooh (pg23), cut at 4 3/4", Piglet (pg42), cut at 2 3/4", Eeyor (pg51), cut at 3", clouds/icon (pg76), cut at 1", 1 1/2" and 2", leaf/icon (pg42), cut at 1".  Plantin Schoolbook-numbers, cut at 1".

The little added touches were made by using Glossy Accents on Tigger and Eeyor and also using brownstone, forget-me-not, sapphire silk and pink geranium ink to give some depth to the characters.  I also used copic marker E37 to shade the wooden bridge
Oh, I almost forgot...the entire background was colored by using the sapphire silk to give the feeling of an early Autumn sky.

Hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.  Kathie

FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE #122
S'MORE ANYONE?

Its that time again...Time for another super Monday challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut and this week your inspiration is "Smore anyone".  So, whatever it is that comes to mind, campouts, barbaques or  campfires, let it out and create something fabulous!   Dont forget to stop by and check out all of the wonderful projects the Design Team has come up with this week...theyre really super!

For my project, I decided to make a 12"x 12" layout from a picture that I took of  my children while they were camping out on our property and the fact that they were making S'mores (goodies between my daughters) made it the perfect choice!

Country nights

For this layout I used the following cartridges and measurements.  Campin' Critters-porcupine (pg 34),
cut at 1 1/4, 1 3/4 and 2 1/4 inches, Plantin SchoolBook-letters, cut at 1 inch and Pooh and Friends-
grass/icon (pg 29), cut at 1/2 and 3/4 inches, fence/icon (pg 30), cut at 1 inch.

I used the Martha Stewart punch "Stars" for the night sky, Liquid Pearls and Copic marker E55 for the marshmellows (it gave the marshmellows a puffy golden look...yum), mini brads for the eyes on the porcupine, pop dots on the large/small critter and Copic marker R20 for their bellies/feet and noses.

Lastly, for the campfire, I cut the image from a piece of patterned paper and used Glossy Accents to give it a shiny glow.

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look.  Kathie

Baby album...a work in progress

My husband and I are going to become grandparents for the first time and I wanted to make
something special for my daughter, so her and her husband will have something to remember all of the first's and special moments in their little ones first year of life!

Like the title says...this is a work in progress, so Ill be posting new pages as they are finished.

Special Delivery

For this layout I used the following cartridges and measurement.   Sugar and Spice-stork, cut at 4 1/2 inches and Pooh and Friends-grass icon (pg 29) various sizes to give some depth.  I also cut the mats from matching colored cardstock for easy placement of the photo.

                                                                    Splish Splash!

On the rubber duckie layout, I used the following cartridges and measurement.  Sesame Street and Friends-duck (pg 71) cut at 4 1/2 inches, Sponge Bob-bubbles (pg49) icon/shadow, cut at 3/4 and
1 1/4 inches and Sugar and Spice-Bath Time, cut at 3 inches.  I also used Glossy Accent and glitter on the bubbles.  Again, using matching colored cardstock for the photo mat.

                                                                     Sweet Dreams!

Here are the cartridges and measurements I used on the Bed Time layout.  Country Life-sheep
(pg) 41, cut at 2 1/4 inches and Sugar and Spice-Bed Time/moon and stars, cut at 2 inches.  I decided
to make the sheep in pink and blue, since we dont know what the baby will be yet..besides, CUTE!
I also used Glossy Accent on the stars and the lambs legs/ears.  Oh, and I used mini brads for the
little eyes.

                                                             Hap, hap, happy Easter!

And on the final layout for today, I used the following cartridges and measurements.  Easter 2010-
eggs, cut at 3/4 inches and Pooh and Friends-Piglet (pg 41) cut at 5 inches, fence (pg 30) cut
at 4 inches, grass (pg 29) cut at various sizes and clouds (pg 16) icon, cut at various sizes.  I used
Glossy Accent and glitter on the eggs to give a little sparkle and like the other mats, I used matching
colored cardstock to post the photos.

*For the Piglet layout, I made a card using this design last year for an Easter card and decided that I
liked it so much, that Id have to use it again sometime...Now is sometime and I think itll look sweet
in the babys album.

Thanks for looking and please leave a comment when you see something you like...
